Today, April 24, 2020, the Public Information Office – City of Baguio has announced that the local government is ready to accommodate individuals who are recommended to undergo the 14-day quarantine period. This is since these individuals are probable or suspected of having the Coronavirus Disease 2019 or COVID-19.
Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong expressed gratitude to the concerned private sector and government agencies for allowing the use of their facilities as one of the isolation facilities for the increasing probable or suspected COVID-19 cases in the city. The established isolation facilities are in addition to the isolation rooms at the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC), Notre Dame Hospital, the Pines City Doctors Hospital, and the Saint Louis University (SLU) Sacred Heart Hospital.
What do you think about these new additional isolation facilities within Benguet? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below. Both the government agencies and the private sectors are doing what they can to help the city in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. As residents of the City of Pines, let us do ours as well by staying at home and abiding by the ECQ and other guidelines imposed by the local government.
