Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) continues to intensify while moving closer to the Bicol Region, with the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) remaining under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2, according to PAGASA’s 2:00 AM advisory.

Uwan is forecast to reach super typhoon category within the day before making landfall over Aurora tonight or early Monday. A possible direct hit or landfall over Catanduanes remains possible due to its close proximity to the storm’s path.
After landfall, the system will traverse the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon and emerge over Lingayen Gulf by Monday morning.
