SLU Alumni Secure Top Spots in Geodetic Engineers Licensure Examination




The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released the results of the Geodetic Engineers Licensure Examination conducted last October 2023, revealing that three examinees from Saint Louis University (SLU) have placed within the top ten. Jimmerry Velasco Gadeja obtained the fourth rank with a rating of 88.60%, James Lee Ignacio Molino followed closely at fifth with 88%, and Vienna Rose Somera Baturi ranked eighth with 86.40%.

These results come after the PRC announced that 644 out of 1,377 candidates passed the licensure exam. The examination was administered in several locations across the Philippines, including N.C.R., Baguio, Butuan, Cebu, Davao, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. The Board of Geodetic Engineering, responsible for the examination, is composed of Engr. Epifanio D. Lopez as Chairman, with Engr. Concordio D. Zuñiga and Engr. Randolf S. Vicente as members.

The PRC managed to release the results within four working days from the final day of the examination period, indicating a prompt evaluation process.

Successful examinees are instructed to proceed with the registration for their Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration, which will be available from December 11 to December 12, 2023. This registration process requires the completion of several steps online via the PRC’s official website. Essential documents for the registration include a downloaded Oath Form, notice of admission, two passport-sized pictures with a white background and complete name tag, two sets of documentary stamps, and one short brown envelope. It is compulsory for all successful candidates to personally register and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.





The PRC has yet to schedule the oathtaking ceremony for the new geodetic engineers, which will mark their formal entry into the profession.

The performance of the SLU alumni in the Geodetic Engineers Licensure Examination is indicative of the university’s academic environment, which supports its students in meeting the professional standards required by the PRC. The successful examinees from SLU have demonstrated their knowledge and readiness to join the ranks of professionals in the field of geodetic engineering.
