The 15-day celebration of National Flag Days, starts today, May 28, 2019. Starting today until June 12, 2019, government offices are to display the Philippine Flag in all open flag staffs. The general public are also encouraged to do the same in buildings and residences.
A program, which started 8AM today, is currently happening at the Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Barangay Salud Mitra and will end at 12NN after the small group instruction-presentation.
The theme for the 121st Philippine Independence Day is “Tapang ng Bayan, Malasakit sa mamamayan.”
For this year’s celebration in Baguio City, there will be a program on June 12, 2019 to be held at the President Fidel V. Ramos (PFVR) gym, where city officials will give their messages and have an assembly right after.
There will also be a socio-civic parade which will start from the PFRV gym and end at the Melvin Jones grandstand. The following are the participants of the said parade:
Wreath-laying ceremonies are set to happen on July 4, 2019 in several areas including Malcolm Square, bust of Arch. Daniel Burnham, Philippine Commission Marker along Gov. Pack Road and Kennon Road.
In line with the Administrative Order by Mayor Domogan, employees of the local government and partner agencies should support and participate in the celebration.
