Tuba Municipal Mayor Clarita Sal-ongan has issued lockdown orders yesterday, August 13, 2020, in several sitios in the municipality. This is after four (4) individuals have been infected with the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
As of 6:00 PM yesterday, the Upper Poblacion (from Buyag’s Residence to Tuba District Office) has been placed under lockdown. According to a report, a 38-year-old male resident of Upper Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet has tested positive for the virus.
Sitio Penged in Nangalisan has also been placed under lockdown yesterday at 9:00 PM, after a 23-year-old male construction worker at Penged, Nangalisan and a resident of Bacquit, LU contracted the Coronavirus Disease.
As of 10:00 PM yesterday, Barangay Camp 4 has also been placed under lockdown. This is since two (2) teachers in Barangay Camp 4 have been confirmed to be infected by COVID-19. One is a 31-years-old, male, resident of Hydro 1, Camp 6 and the other one is a 39-years-old, female, resident of Lablab 2.
The above-mentioned lockdowns orders have been issued to facilitate complete and efficient contact tracing. The said lockdowns are also to ensure the safety and security of the persons who may have come into contact with the COVID-19 patients.
