Lockdown over Camp Dennis Molintas Area in Buguias Now Lifted

Under Executive Order No.19, series of 2020, Buguias Mayor Ruben Tinda-an has ordered to lift the lockdown over Camp Dennis Molintas Area in Barangay Bangao, Buguias, Benguet effective 10 AM today, June 23, 2020.

Previously, Sitios Cobo, Bengbeng, and Landingan, and all of Barangay Bangao were placed under lockdown last June 12, 2020 after four (4) personnel of Philippine National Police (PNP) assigned at Camp Dennis Molintas tested positive for COVID-19.

However, on June 15, 2020, the lockdown order for Sitios Cobo, Bengbeng, and Landingan, and all of Barangay Bangao has already been lifted except for Camp Dennis Molintas Area.

Now, Mayor Tinda-an has lifted the lockdown order over the said area effective June 23, 2020, after the test results of the remaining PNP personnel deployed in Camp Dennis Molintas turned out negative for COVID-19.

Reminders for Residents

Furthermore, under EO No. 19, everyone is also advised to observe the following precautionary measures:

• Always wear a face mask and other protective equipment.
• Observe at least one (1) meter physical/social distancing.
• Always wash your hands.
• Observe respiratory etiquette like covering mouth when coughing/sneezing, not spitting anywhere or chewing of momma
• Observe a healthy lifestyle and proper personal hygiene
• Observe proper waste management and disposal
• Make a daily journal of travels/activities
