After the completion of the contact tracing process as well as the re-evaluation of the following Barangays, the contact tracing team of Baguio City has recommended the lifting of the lockdown in 10 barangays. This recommendation was approved by Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong.
As a result of the lifting of the lockdown, the Mall and Market pass use is reinstated. The residents and the public in general however are required to always observe the minimum health standards or protocols.
The initial evaluation of the contact tracing team yielded the data that one of the COVID-19 patients is a resident of Purok 2 Marcoville. To help facilitate the contact tracing process, the said area in the Barangay is going to be placed under lockdown. As a result, the Mall and Market Pass use is suspended, and provisions of Memorandum 144 Series of 2020 shall be implemented.
Previously, the City Mayor, through Memorandum order number 208 Series of 2020 ordered the lockdown of purok 3 of Barangay Lucnab and Purok 20 San Carlos Heights Upper Irisan. Today, however, the lockdowns were lifted and the lockdown implementation is now placed at Purok 13, Lower Cypress Irisan.
