Inday Exits PAR; Habagat Still Expected to Affect Most of the Country

Typhoon Inday has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility, PAGASA said late Saturday morning, July 11, 2026. However, the enhanced Southwest Monsoon may still bring rain and strong winds over most parts of the country.

Typhoon Inday, internationally known as Bavi, exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 8:20 AM on Saturday, July 11, according to PAGASA’s Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 15 issued at 11:00 AM.

As of 10:00 AM, the center of Inday was estimated at 590 kilometers north northeast of Itbayat, Batanes, outside PAR.

The typhoon maintained maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 170 kilometers per hour, and a central pressure of 950 hectopascals.

It was moving north northwestward at 20 kilometers per hour.

Signal No. 1 Remains Over Batanes

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains raised over Batanes.

Areas under Signal No. 1 may experience strong winds ranging from 39 to 61 kilometers per hour, with minimal to minor impacts possible.

Baguio City, Benguet, and the Cordillera Administrative Region are not under any tropical cyclone wind signal based on the 11:00 AM bulletin.

Habagat Effects to Continue

Although Inday is now outside PAR, PAGASA said the enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the outer circulation of the typhoon may still bring strong to gale-force gusts over several areas.

These conditions may affect:

Saturday, July 11

– Most of the country

Sunday, July 12

– Most of Luzon

– Most of Visayas

– Zamboanga del Norte

– Misamis Occidental

– Lanao del Norte

– Camiguin

– Davao Oriental

Monday, July 13

– Most of Luzon

– Western Visayas

– Negros Occidental

Residents are advised to continue monitoring weather updates, especially in areas prone to flooding, landslides, mudslides, rockslides, and flash floods.

Heavy Rainfall Outlook

Rainfall conditions may still change depending on the strength of the monsoon flow and the movement of weather systems outside PAR.

Sea Conditions

A Gale Warning remains in effect over the northern and eastern seaboards of Northern Luzon.

PAGASA said sea travel is risky in areas with very rough to high seas.

Waves may reach up to:

– 7.0 meters over the northern seaboard of Batanes

– 6.0 meters over the remaining seaboards of Batanes

– 5.0 meters over the northern seaboard of Babuyan Islands

– 4.5 meters over the northern seaboard of mainland Cagayan and the remaining seaboard of Babuyan Islands

Mariners are advised to remain in port or seek shelter until winds and waves subside.

Track Outlook

Inday is forecast to continue moving northwestward toward the East China Sea.

PAGASA said the typhoon may make landfall over the eastern coast of mainland China tonight or Sunday morning, July 12.

Inday is expected to remain a typhoon within the next 12 hours before weakening into a severe tropical storm after moving inland over mainland China.

The next tropical cyclone bulletin will be issued at 5:00 PM today.
