FDA Warns Public Not to Use the Following Unauthorized Cosmetic Products

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) – Philippines has issued advisories warning the public not to use and purchase the following Unauthorized Cosmetic Products:

FDA Advisory No. 0202

• COLOURETTE COLOURGLAZE SEROTONIN
• COLOURETTE COLOURGLAZE BLANKET
• COLOURETTE COLOURGLAZE DAYDREAM
• COLOURETTE COLOURGLAZE SUNDOWN

FDA Advisory No. 0201

• MISS TIN KOJIC ACID SOAP
• MISS TIN REJUVENATING TONER
• MISS TIN REJUVENATING CREAM
• MISS TIN SUNBLOCK CREAM

Furthermore, the above mentioned unauthorized Cosmetic Products were verified by FDA through post-marketing surveillance and shows no valid Certificate of Product Notification (CPN) as of January 20, 2021.

“All concerned establishments are warned not to distribute violative cosmetic products until they have fully complied with the rules and regulation of the FDA,” the agency added.

Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009

As stated under Republic Act No. 9711 or the “Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009” without the proper authorization from the FDA the following is prohibited:

• manufacture
• importation
• exportation
• sale
• offering for sale
• distribution
• transfer
• non-consumer use
• promotion
• advertising
• sponsorship of any health product

Report Sale/Distribution

To report any sale or distribution of unregistered drug products, report through the online reporting facility eReport.
