Starting August 19, 2024, Baguio City will implement an experimental exemption for senior citizens from the Number Coding Ordinance. This temporary measure was introduced through Executive Order No. 82, Series of 2024, is designed for senior citizens in the city. Here’s what you need to know:
The Number Coding Ordinance in Baguio City restricts certain vehicles from using the roads on specific days based on the last digit of their license plate. However, for 90 days, senior citizens who are residents of Baguio City will be allowed to travel more freely under certain conditions.
If you’re a senior citizen or driving a senior citizen, the normal restrictions based on the last digit of your license plate won’t apply during the exemption periods within the designated Number Coding Area. You can refer to the embedded map below to see the exact boundaries of this area.
