Free Rabies Vaccination for Dogs and Cats Set in Baguio from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3

The Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office (CVAO) has announced another round of free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats in several barangays from September 30 to October 3, 2026.

The activity aims to help protect pets and the community from rabies, a potentially fatal disease that can be transmitted through bites from infected animals.

Important Reminders for Pet Owners

According to the CVAO, dogs and cats that are less than three months old, pregnant, or sick will not be vaccinated.

Pet owners are also reminded that under City Ordinance No. 19-2021, all dogs aged three months and above must be registered in their respective barangay or with the CVAO.

While the rabies vaccination is free, a P50 registration fee per dog will be collected from dog owners.

Residents whose pets are eligible for vaccination are encouraged to bring them to the designated vaccination site in their barangay during the scheduled hours.
