Typhoon Nika is currently traversing the Cordillera Administrative Region, bringing typhoon-force winds and significant rainfall to Northern Luzon. The typhoon is expected to continue moving northwestward and exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow morning.
Nika is expected to continue moving west northwestward, emerging over the sea west of Ilocos Sur this evening. It is projected to maintain typhoon strength until it exits the Luzon landmass, where it will likely weaken to a severe tropical storm.
