Baguio Records New Cases and Recoveries Over the Weekend

Over the weekend, the City of Baguio has logged new cases and recoveries.  These updates were posted by the Public Information Office (PIO) of the City of Baguio.

28 Cases in Baguio City – October 17

The city has recorded 33  recoveries and 28 new cases last October 17, 2020.  And, among the new cases listed, 24 cases were contact traced,  1 case is a result of expanded testing and 3 patients are symptomatic.

36 Cases in Baguio City – October 18

Baguio City has logged 36 new cases, one (1) fatality, and nine (9) recoveries yesterday, October 18, 2020. Furthermore, among the new patients recorded yesterday in the city, 24 cases were contact traced, 7 cases were expanded tested, 3 tested for other reasons and 2 were symptomatic.

    1 Fatality

    • 43-year-old male who died October 17 due to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), severe pneumonia, and coronavirus.
    • He was admitted to a hospital on October 10 after suffering from fever and cough for four days. Health authorities are still determining if he had other comorbid conditions.

    Total Cases in Baguio City

    As of yesterday, the city has logged 1,639 total number of confirmed cases. 1,073 patients have recovered, 546 cases are still active, and 20 fatalities were listed.
