Mt. Yangbew Open for La Trinidad Residents Only



In a new Executive Order, Mt. Yangbew and Tayawan Heights will be open and for now, only residents from La Trinidad will be allowed to visit.

Punong Barangay Brenda Waytan of Barangay Tawang, La Trinidad, Benguet has signed EO No. 10, Series of 2020, an order lifting EO No. 7 which suspended all tourism activities in Tawang due to the pandemic until further notice. Under the new EO, guidelines for the opening of Mt. Yangnew and Tayawan Heights were provided.

Guidelines

Here are the following guidelines stated under EO No. 10:

Open Period

  • Outside the preceding period, the tourist spots will remain open and receive visitors every day from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day.
  • Students are only allowed to visit on weekends and holidays.

Visitors

  • Visitors must be aged 15 and above, but not older than 65.

Pre-booking

  • Pre-booking is required.
  • Residents who intend to visit Mt. Yangbew and Tayawan Heights are required to pre-book at the number below at least two days prior to the intended visit:
    • 0910-390-0936

Capacity

  • A maximum of 100 visitors are allowed to be accommodated daily.

Entry and Exit

  • Entry and exit to and from Mt. Yangbew will be at Banig entrance.
  • Entry and Exit to and from Tayawan Heights will be at the Barangay Hall entrance.

Entry Requirements

Persons visiting tourist spots must comply with the following minimum requirements:

Visitors

  • Only residents of La Trinidad are allowed to visit Mt. Yangbew and Tayawan Heights in the meantime.
  • Visitors must show a Valid ID with La Trinidad address.

Environmental Fee

  • The environmental fee is PHP 30.00.

Sako Bag

  • Each group of tourists will be given a sako bag for their trash.
  • A deposit of 100 will be collected, but will also be returned if they return the Sako Bag and properly dispose their trash at the exit.

Face mask and Face Shield

  • Each visitor must wear a face mask and face shield.

Physical Distance

  • Visitors must observe a minimum of two meters distance from each other.

Register

  • Each visitor must log the following for contact tracing purposes:
    • Name
    • Address
    • Contact Number

Not Allowed

  • Alcoholic beverage/s and deadly weapon/s are not allowed on the premises of any tourist spots. Any of the following will be confiscated and disposed of.
