COMELEC Opens Voter Registration August 2025; Who Can Register and How?

The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has announced the resumption of the System of Continuing Registration of Voters from August 1 to 10, 2025. This period provides another opportunity for Filipinos to register or update their voter records ahead of the upcoming national and local elections.

What Transactions Are Accepted?

• New Registration
• Transfer of Registration
• Change/Correction of Entries in Registration Records
• Reactivation of Registration Records
• Inclusion/Reinstatement of Name in the List of Voters
• Transfer of Registration Records from Foreign Service Post to Local
• Updating Records for PWDs, Senior Citizens, Indigenous Peoples (IP), and Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC)

Registration Schedule and Hours

• Dates: August 1–10, 2025
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Days: Mondays to Fridays, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (unless otherwise declared by COMELEC)

Online Reactivation and Updates

For certain transactions, such as reactivation and correction of entries—qualified applicants may file their requests online. The following applications can be submitted via email to the local Office of the Election Officer (OEO):

• Reactivation of registration
• Reactivation with transfer within locality or correction of entries
• Reactivation with both transfer and correction of entries
• Reactivation with updating records for Senior Citizens and PWDs

Special Note: Register Anywhere Program (RAP)

From August 1 to 7, 2025, the Register Anywhere Program (RAP) will be conducted in the National Capital Region (NCR) and select areas in Region III and Region IV-A. This program allows eligible voters to register at select locations outside their city or municipality of residence for added convenience.

Why Register?

Voter registration is essential to participate in the upcoming elections. If you’re a first-time voter, recently moved, or need to update your details (such as civil status or address), take advantage of this registration period.

What About Baguio and the Cordillera?

For residents of Baguio City and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), head to your nearest COMELEC office. Early registration is advised to avoid long lines, especially for students, workers, and those living in remote barangays.
