The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has officially released the results of the September 2023 Librarians Licensure Examination, and Benguet State University has emerged as a top-performing institution. Ranking third, the university boasts a remarkable passing rate of 91.18%, showcasing the excellence and dedication of its students and faculty in the field of library science.
Out of 886 examinees, 555 successfully passed the licensure examination, which was conducted in various cities across the country, including N. C. R., Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga. The examination was overseen by the Board for Librarians, with Hon. Yolanda C. Granda serving as the Chairman and Hon. Lourdes T. David as a Member.
In a display of efficiency, the PRC managed to release the results in just three working days following the conclusion of the examination. This swift turnaround is a testament to the commission’s commitment to serving the public and ensuring that new professionals can embark on their careers without delay.
For those who successfully passed the examination, the next step is registration for the issuance of the Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. This process will be conducted online from October 18 to October 19, 2023. Examinees are advised to visit the official PRC website at www.prc.gov.ph for instructions on initial registration.
