The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 8 for Tropical Storm “Enteng” (YAGI), which continues to maintain its strength while slowly turning north-northwestward over the sea east of Polillo Islands. Benguet, along with other areas, is now under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.
Track and Intensity Outlook
As of 7:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm “Enteng” was located 100 km north-northwest of Daet, Camarines Norte, or 115 km east-northeast of Infanta, Quezon (15.0°N, 122.7°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, with gustiness up to 90 km/h, and is moving west-northwestward at 15 km/h. Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 280 km from the center.
“Enteng” is forecast to maintain its tropical storm category until Tuesday and will likely intensify into a severe tropical storm by Wednesday. Further intensification into a typhoon by Thursday or Friday is also possible.

Heavy Rainfall Outlook: Residents in affected areas should prepare for heavy rainfall, with forecast accumulated rainfall as follows:

- Over 200 mm: Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Albay, and Quezon including Polillo Islands.
- 100-200 mm: Metro Manila, Bulacan, Aurora, the rest of CALABARZON, Catanduanes, and Sorsogon.
- 50-100 mm: Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, Marinduque, Romblon, and Masbate.
- Tomorrow (September 3):
- 100-200 mm: Isabela, Cagayan, Abra, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte.
- 50-100 mm: Aurora, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and mainland Cagayan Valley.
- Wednesday (September 4):
- 100-200 mm: Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Abra, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.
- 50-100 mm: Batanes, mainland Cagayan, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region and Ilocos Region.
Flooding and rain-induced landslides are expected, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in official hazard maps and in localities that have experienced significant rainfall in recent days.

Minor to moderate impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the localities where Wind Signal No. 2 is hoisted, while minimal to minor impacts are expected in areas under Wind Signal No. 1.
Hazards Affecting Coastal Waters
In the next 24 hours, “Enteng” and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon will bring the following conditions over the coastal waters of the country:
- Gale Warning is in effect over the eastern seaboard of Luzon and the southern seaboard of Southern Luzon. Sea travel is risky for small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas. Mariners are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions.
- Moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 3.5 m) over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon, the western seaboard of Central Luzon, and the western seaboard of Southern Luzon. Mariners of small seacrafts are advised to exercise caution or avoid navigation.
- Slight to moderate seas (1.0 to 2.5 m) are expected over the rest of the country. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly-sized vessels should take precautionary measures.
