President Rodrigo Duterte has announced on Monday the new quarantine classifications which will be implemented in the country until July 15, 2021 as recommended by the IATF. The announcement was made in his meeting with Cabinet members to discuss measures being undertaken during the pandemic, including the new classifications which were recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging and Infectious Diseases from July 1 to 31, 2021.
In the Cordillera Administrative Region, the Benguet province will be placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) status while Baguio City and Ifugao will remain under General Community Quarantine (GCQ). Meanwhile, Apayao is placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) until July 15.
