Last week, a 44-year-old male from Sitio Bangcua, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet who works as a vegetable truck driver has become the first COVID-19 Case in the municipality and as of yesterday, June 16, 2020, another case has been recorded.
The second case recorded in Tuba is a 60-year-old male from Sitio Beleng, Barangay Taloy Sur.
He has been initially counted under Baguio City. However, upon the conduct of contact tracing, it was found out that he is actually a resident of Tuba, Benguet; thus, counting him as the second case in the municipality.
Furthermore, following the confirmation of the said case, the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Tuba, Benguet has released an announcement placing Sitio Beleng, Barangay Taloy Sur under total lockdown effective at 9:00 PM yesterday, June 16, 2020 until further notice.
In addition, the Municipal Government is advising everyone to take extra precautionary measures and basic health protocols when going outside their residences.
