Current Status: Super Typhoon Goring, also known as SAOLA, is holding its strength and moving South Southwestward.

  • Intensity: Winds of up to 185 km/h with gustiness reaching 230 km/h. Central pressure at 935 hPa.
  • Movement: South Southwestward at 10 km/h

Track and Intensity Outlook:

  • Goring is expected to loop over the Philippine Sea east of the Cagayan-Isabela area today, move northeastward and northward tomorrow, and shift northwestward by Tuesday. Landfall is anticipated over southern Taiwan by Wednesday evening or Thursday early morning, with an exit from the PAR region projected on Friday.
