Saint Louis University held its 17th Lantern Parade on December 1, 2025, highlighted by themed presentations inspired by lantern festivals around the world. The School of Engineering and Architecture emerged as the overall champion.
The 17th Saint Louis University Lantern Parade took place on December 1, 2025, drawing students, faculty and spectators to a showcase of lanterns inspired by international festivals. Before the parade began, the City Government of Baguio conducted the annual Christmas Tree lighting at the top of Session Road, followed by a fireworks display from SM City Baguio.
The parade featured groups from various SLU schools and units, each presenting lanterns based on a designated festival theme. The Saint Martin’s Lantern Parade represented Germany and the Netherlands and included representatives from the SLU Board of Trustees, Baguio City officials, the SLU Administration, the SLU Sacred Heart Medical Center, the School of Advanced Studies and the SLU Alumni Foundation. Other schools showcased lantern themes from Vietnam, Myanmar, Australia, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and India.
