As Tropical Storm Dante (CHOI-WAN) heads towards the vicinity of Romblon to make landfall, several areas in Luzon and Visayas have been placed under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals 1 and 2 in the most recent Tropical Cyclone bulletin released by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday.
The center of Tropical Storm “DANTE” (CHOI-WAN) was estimated based on all available data including those from Iloilo Doppler Weather Radar over the southern coastal waters of Romblon, Romblon (12.4°N, 122.3°E). It has a maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center, gustiness up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 1000 hPa and is currently moving west at 25 km/h with gale-force winds extending outward up to 50 km from the center.
