According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), Cataingan, Masbate was hit by a magnitude 6.6 earthquake today, August 18, 2020.
Furthermore, as of 8:03 AM today, the earthquake was initially recorded as a magnitude 6.5.
The earthquake’s epicenter is located 11.96 N, 124.03 E-007 km S 29° E of Cataingan (Masbate).
