In their recent statement via Facebook, DPWH-Cordillera Administrative Region Regional Office has announced that Kennon Road is CLOSED to Traffic, for all types of vehicles, starting at 5 PM today, May 14, 2020 (Thursday) until further notice.
The reason for the closure is because of the possible ill-effects of the landfall of Tropical Storm “Ambo”. This decision, according to DPWH-CAR is in response to the directive of the Cordillera Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council Chairperson Commo Albert A. Mogol.
For those residing along Kennon Road, they are exempted from the said restrictions however, DPWH-CAR, strictly advised them to take all necessary precautions when traversing the said area.
Motorists who are not residents along Kennon Road and are traveling to or from Baguio City are advised to take alternate routes such as Marcos Highway or Asin-Nangalisan-San Pascual-Rizal-Anduyan Road and Baguio-Bauang Road.
