Below is a step-by-step guide on how to get VaxCertPH online vaccination certificate which you can now use for domestic use, including travel. In a lot of Local Government Units (LGUs), travelers are required to present proof that they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before they can be granted entry to the LGU. The VaxCertPH, developed by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), can make verification easy because it will serve as a central database system for vaccine administration here in the Philippines.
VaxCertPH has been updated with new features! All citizens who generated their certificates before February 7, 2022 are urged to request the new version of VaxCertPH in the portal, since the QR code of previously generated certificates will become outdated and unreadable. Regenerate your VaxCertPH if you already have it, or get your VaxCertPH 48 hours after your full vaccination. – DOH
Here’s a statement by the Public Information Office of Baguio regarding concerns about VaxCertPH and the local vaccination certificate of Baguio:
This VaxCertPH does not mean that vaccination certificates or QR codes generated from bakuna.baguio.gov.ph will be replaced or rendered useless. The post refers to vaccination certificate generated from VaxCertPH which is the requirement for going abroad and can also be used for local transactions. VACCINATION CERTIFICATES AND QR CODES FROM bakuna.baguio.gov.ph. ARE STILL USABLE AND DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED.”
According to the VaxCertPH website, VaxCertPH is the official digital vaccination certificate for Filipinos and non-Filipinos vaccinated in the Philippines. It may be used for international and domestic travel and it complies with the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates (DDCC) guidelines.
