Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong announced in a press conference held today (Wednesday) December 23, 2020 that the operation of provincial buses and UV express vans is expected to resume after Christmas or until the companies are ready with their triage.
According to Mayor Magalong, the LTFRB-CAR, members of the Baguio City Traffic and Transportation Technical Working Group and the representatives from the operators shall complete all the required inspections of the vehicles that will be allowed in the approved routes.
However, depending on the situation of the COVID-19 cases in the city and from the approved places of origin, it is stated the initial arrangements agreed upon can still be changed at anytime.
While there will be unlimited trips going outside the city, depending on the conditions imposed by the local governments; eight busses and vans will initially be allowed to enter the city.

On December 14, 2020, the Public Information Office of the City of Baguio announced that ten (10) Local Governments Units from Luzon has agreed that as soon as all health and safety protocols have been finalized they will open their borders for Inter-regional routes, especially for Public Utility Buses and Vans, from Baguio City.
