Baguio Hall of Justice Encourages Face Masks After Reported COVID-19 Case

The Regional Trial Court (RTC) and the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) of Baguio City have issued a joint memorandum reinstating the requirement for wearing face masks within the Hall of Justice (Main) and Hall of Justice (CA Annex). This decision comes in response to a reported increase in COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila and a recent positive case among court employees in Baguio City.

Signed by Executive Judges Michael V. Francisco of RTC Baguio City and Jeanylene T. Isip-Fukai of MTCC Baguio City, the memorandum, dated July 8, 2026, encourages all judges, court employees, and court users to wear face masks as a precautionary measure. The aim is to prevent the potential spread of the virus and to ensure the health and safety of court personnel, litigants, lawyers, and others conducting business within the courts.

This precautionary measure is intended to safeguard the community and maintain the smooth operation of court services amidst the ongoing health concerns. The cooperation and understanding of all involved parties are appreciated as the courts continue to monitor the situation closely.
