UPDATE June 10, 2026 11:29 AM:
The city has recorded ten new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) today. According to the Daily COVID-19 Monitoring Update by the Public Information Office of Baguio City, 9 of these cases have been detected through the expanded testing in different sectors while 1 case has been discovered through contact tracing.
Eight of the cases discovered through expanded testing came after Mayor Magalong’s directive for groceries to submit their employees to mandatory testing after clustering of cases was observed in groceries and supermarkets. According to the mayor, more infections are expected to surface in the coming days as grocers were only given until today to complete the testing requirement.
