An online survey entitled, “Most Helpful Banks in Asia Pacific During Covid-19,” has been conducted by the BankQuality.com from April 1 to April 30, 2020, to determine which retail banks in the Asia Pacific are remarked by customers as “helpful” during the COVID-19 outbreak.
In the survey conducted by BankQuality, here are the 50 Most Helpful Asia Pacific Banks during the COVID-19 outbreak.
One of the survey’s key findings is that the contactless feature of banks and digital services is a significant factor for consumers in rating their banks during this period.
In line with this, out of the 80 banks included on the full list, South Korea’s largest digital-only bank, Kakaobank, was named as the Most Helpful Bank in Asia Pacific during the COVID-19 crisis with a BankQuality Score (BQS) of 102.21.
Kakaobank was remarked by customers to be convenient because of its contactless mobile banking services.
The Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) was ranked as the second most helpful bank in the Asia Pacific and it’s the only Philippine bank that made it to the top 10.
Furthermore, it also made it to the Top Five Best Retail Banks in the region together with Kotak Mahindra Bank (India), VPBank (Vietnam) and Citibank (Singapore).
Aside from UnionBank, there are also other Philippine financial institutions that made it to the Top 50. Here are the following banks and their corresponding ranks.
