The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has released a memorandum for this year’s Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drills (NSED).

The following are the schedule for the CY Quarterly NSED:

1st Quarter

• Date and Time: March 11, 2021 | 1400H
• Target Audience: Women, Children, Youth and Students, Senior Citizens
• Ceremonial Venue: Online

2nd Quarter

• Date and Time: June 10, 2021 | 0900H
• Target Audience: Urban Poor, Non-Government Organizations, Formal Labor and Migrant Workers, Informal Sector Workers
• Ceremonial Venue: Online

3rd Quarter

• Date and Time: September 9, 2021 | 1400H
• Target Audience: Farmers and Landless Rural Workers, Indigenous People, Cooperatives, MSME Sector
• Ceremonial Venue: Baguio  City

4th Quarter

• Date and Time: November 11, 2021 | 0900H
• Target Audience: Persons with Disabilities, Victims of Disasters and Calamities, Fisherfolks
• Ceremonial Venue: TBD

Furthermore, the 14 Basic Sectors will serve as the focus for NSED 2021 and this aims to highlight the earthquake preparedness efforts for and by the basic sector in pursuit to building a more resilient community.
