Typhoon Paolo has intensified further and made landfall over Dinapigue, Isabela this morning. At 11:00 AM, the eye of Paolo was located in the vicinity of San Guillermo, Isabela (16.7°N, 122.2°E), moving west-northwest at 25 km/h.

The typhoon is expected to cross Northern Luzon today before emerging over the West Philippine Sea by evening. Paolo may weaken slightly while traversing land, but re-intensification is likely once it exits into open waters.

Hazards Affecting Land and Sea

Some coastal areas face higher than 3.0 m surges especially in Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Mindoro, Romblon, Palawan, Bicol, Samar provinces, Leyte, Cebu, Panay Island, Dinagat, and Siargao.
  • Sea travel: Dangerous with seas up to 7.0 meters along Northern Luzon seaboards. All types of vessels advised to remain in port.
