On Tuesday, March 2, 2021, Walt Disney Studios Philippines revealed that Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan will be singing the first Filipino-language song from Disney titled “Gabay” from the studio’s latest animated film “Raya and the Last Dragon”.
On the same day, KZ Tandingan, through her official Facebook page said, “I am so grateful to be chosen to sing the first-ever Disney track in Filipino!” And on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, another teaser has been released with KZ Tandingan saying, “Tunay po akong nagpapasalamat na ako ay napili para kantahin ang awit na ito,” on a video.
And today (Friday), March 5, 2021, the moment we all have been waiting for has finally arrived. The first-ever Filipino-language Disney song has finally been officially released by the Walt Disney Studios!
“Put on your headphones and turn up the volume! Stream “Gabay” by KZ Tandingan for Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon,” the Walt Disney Studios Philippines announced through a Facebook post earlier today, providing a link to the platforms/services where the new song can be heard.
KZ Tandingan’s “Gabay” for Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon” is now available on Spotify and other platforms such as Apple Music, YouTube Music, and iTunes Store.
