It was a stunning victory in favor of Team Lakay’s Jenelyn Olsim as she submitted the number 5 ranking Brazilian fighter Maria Mazar. This was Jenelyn’s debut in the ONE Championship arena at the Fists of Fury III fight card in Singapore.
Early in the opening round, Jenelyn has proven to be too much for the Brazilian fighter as Olsim threw strong punches that almost knocked out Mazar.
Jenelyn Olsim also showed her prowess in Muay Thai landing several good kicks including a devastating front kick at the start of the second round. The second round was a striking frenzy for both fighters, while Mazar changed her strategy by throwing more strikes and combinations, Olsim answered with more counter strikes. Mazar scored a takedown during the final seconds of the second round, however Jenelyn still controlled the striking category of that round.
The third round ended with a shock as Jenelyn Olsim executed a deep choke while standing which tapped out Maira Mazar once they dropped to the floor putting the choke even deeper. It was indeed a stunning performance from Jenelyn Olsim as she entered the main rosters of ONE Championship.
