Who Can Apply for the DOH Pre-Service Scholarship 2023?

To qualify for the DOH Pre-Service Scholarship 2023, candidates must be:

  • Filipino citizens
  • good moral character
  • have completed secondary education (high school or senior high school, whichever is applicable)

The DOH prioritizes the following groups for the scholarship:

  • Families with low income
  • Residents of geographically isolated and disadvantaged municipalities or provinces from the top 20 poorest provinces, municipalities, or cities
  • Members of indigenous communities or minority sects
  • Children or dependents of government employees
  • victims of calamity or tragedy,
  • police or military personnel injured or fatally wounded while on duty,
  • Barangay Health Workers,
  • traditional birth attendants, or
  • individuals with chronic diseases

DOH Scholarship Application Process

The application for the DOH Pre-Service Scholarship 2023 involves two stages: Initial Screening and Final Screening.

Initial Screening

Applicants must apply directly to their chosen DOH partner school and fulfill the minimum requirements or criteria set by the school. Only those admitted to partner schools can apply for the DOH scholarship.

Final Screening

This phase includes the evaluation, validation, and approval of accepted applicants by the concerned CHD based on predefined criteria. Successful scholars will receive notifications through the Scholarship Coordinator of the partner schools.
