The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is now finalizing the ReliefAgad application that will make the distribution of government cash assistance faster.
Once operational, this computer-based app will speed up the disbursement of cash assistance under the different Social Amelioration Programs (SAPs).
As of President Rodrigo Duterte’s weekly report, the department is working on completing the requirements needed for the ReliefAgad’s implementation which will help address the financial impact on Filipinos caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The following are the SAPs being implemented with the equivalent beneficiaries as of April 18, 2020.
Aside from the ReliefAgad app being developed by DICT, the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) is also helping local government units to generate the list of citizens who are qualified beneficiaries of SAPs and other local programs of the government.
PIDS gives LGUs data gathered from their community-based monitoring system to help them identify who among their constituents are eligible to receive government aid.
