The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has confirmed the stoppage of a waste facility operating in Subic, Zambales. This directive specifically targets a facility located within the ancestral domain belonging to an indigenous Aeta community.
The move by the national environmental agency effectively halts the operations of the said waste facility, acknowledging its presence on lands recognized as culturally significant ancestral territory for the Aeta people in the Subic area.
