The Baguio City Public Information Office (PIO) has announced that the Baguio Athletic Complex, also known as the Baguio Athletic Bowl, will be closed to the public starting Monday, November 17, 2025, to give way to rehabilitation works on its facilities.
According to the advisory, all sporting activities and parking areas within the complex will be temporarily closed to allow for the improvement of the Track Oval. The rehabilitation project is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to upgrade public sports facilities and ensure they meet safety and performance standards for future events and training activities.
The Athletic Swimming Pool will remain non-operational after sustaining damage from the recent typhoon, which affected parts of the facility. The city government stated that intensive repair work is required before it can be reopened to the public. No reopening date has been announced yet for both the swimming pool and the track oval.
Residents, athletes, and sports groups are advised to temporarily refrain from using the facility for jogging, training, or other recreational activities while the rehabilitation is ongoing. Updates on the project’s progress and reopening schedule will be announced through the Public Information Office of Baguio City.
