Today, March 3, 2021 (Wednesday), it was confirmed by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque that 487,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines are set to arrive tomorrow, March 4, 2021 (Thursday), in the Philippines.
“This is to confirm that the Philippines is set to receive 487,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines tomorrow, March 4, 2021, 7:30PM, as part of the first round of allocated doses from the COVAX facility.”-Presidential Spokesperson Roque
Roque added that “AstraZeneca’s expected time of arrival is based on the scheduled handover of vaccines.”
Furthermore, it was stated on the announcement that the public will be notified if and when there is a change of schedule.
The delivery of AstraZeneca vaccines was first set to arrive in the country last March 1, 2021 but was postponed due to global supply problem.
